3-D SOLID MODELING FOR VIRTUAL PROTOTYPING

Contemporary product design has evolved since the days of 2-D drafting using pencils and vellum. Today, virtual representations of parts and assemblies are created in 3-D that are dimensionally accurate, visually realistic and parametrically defined. With SolidWorks® software, we innovate hardware solutions whether for a new product or an improvement to an existing one, system, machine or production line.

3-D Solid Modeling

We design products by computer in 3-D using SolidWorks® CAD software and can output directly into CNC machinery via CAM software for the ultimate in rapid prototyping and precision machining or to paper, pdf files and .jpg images. More than just a drawing tool, CAD models provide important dimensional information and mass properties that saves time, schedule and money compared to laborious hand calculations. Ask us about converting CAD files into other file format options.

 2-D Drawings from CAD Models

Once 3-D solid models of a part or assembly have been created, the geometry can be linked precisely in a 2-D format for easy printing or pdf file generation. This enables collaboration with clients, colleagues and vendors. We routinely output to 11×17 formats for both paper and pdf output, however many other file format outputs are available upon request.

Collaborative Design using SolidWorks® Software

By using SolidWorks® software, our clients benefit from its outstanding precision, product design quality, stream-lined features and industry-wide recognition. What’s more, we interact and collaborate with our clients throughout the development process but especially during the design phase by providing our clients with complimentary SolidWorks® eDrawings Viewer software. As such, we can share 3-D CAD models and assemblies digitally via email or FTP for nearly-real-time review thereby enhancing the product function, reducing development cost and maintaining schedule.
